By Firefighter / EMT-B David Morris
December 11, 2011

At 1529, Engine companies 4, 14, 3, 9 & 6, Truck 3, Water Supply 5 and Ambulances from Companies 49 and 39 were alerted to the reported trailer fire at 16911 Three Notch Road in the 4-07 box. Within minutes, Engines 43 (Capt. Keister) & 44 (Lt. Ridgell), Tanker 4 (Lt. Langley) and Rescue Engine 42 (Engineer Ridgell) were on the road with 23 personnel, along with the balance of the assignment.

Engine 43 arrived on the scene first, advising of a single wide trailer with smoke showing from the Alpha, Bravo and Charlie sides. The crew stretched a primary attack line and made entry into the residence. Upon entry, crews located fire to the rear of the trailer and made the attack. Engine 44 was next arriving, picking up 43's line at the driveway and pulling a back up line.

At this time, Chief 4B (Mercure) took command. Engine 141 arrived and assisted with the backup line and primary fire attack. Due to an aggressive interior attack made by the initial crew, the fire was stopped before it reached the front of the trailer. At this time, Command held units from Companies 4, 14, Truck 3, and Ambulance 498, returning the rest of the assignment.

Command was terminated at 1649 and all units returned shortly after.
