| March of 2004 the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department discussed a way of reaching out to the community to provide them information about us and what we do. After days of research by Firefighter/EMT Scot Best and the Board of Directors, www.ridgevfd.org was born on the World Wide Web. The web site has been up and running since May of 2004 and has been maintained by the membership.
Our web site is a good tool to provide information on fire prevention, statistics, history, incidents, events as well as a "members only" section that allows all of our members the ability to access important information needed to be a volunteer member.
On February 17, 2012 the Ridge VFD's web site reached 1,000,000 visitors. On a daily average, our site has 280 visits with 710 page views and 6157 hits. (Stats taken from 2011 report) Interestly, the average viewing time per visit is 4 minutes. We received the most referrels from the search engine Google and "Ridge Volunteer Fire Department" was the type of phrase most commonly searched when searching for our site.
A special thanks to Ron Raley and Staff of Firehouse Solutions, Inc. with their continued support. Also, thanks to the membership for keeping the website up to date with current community events and current news stories. Most importantly, we would like to thank the community for viewing our site. |
