On 4 July 2016 at 15:43:33, Engine 43 responded to a structure fire where the fire was reported out. Upon arrival, it was determined that a refrigerator in the basement of the dwelling was expelling smoke. Firefighters unplugged the unit, which continue to smoke. It was determined that the fire was not electrical in nature, so the firefighters proceeded to further investigate by removing items from the refrigerator. The cause of smoke was a dish towel that was accidently touching the light bulb in the fridge. The firefighters removed the burning towel and ventilated the smoke from the basement.
