4-02 Box - 19:54 - Engine 43 responded to Carroll Road in Lexington Park for the reported chimney fire. At 20:06 Chief 4B (Hawkins) arrived on location, reported fire from the chimney and assumed command. Crews from Engine 43, Engine 141, and Truck 3 quickly deployed chimney chains and used an ABC extinguisher to snuff the fire. The fireplace insert was removed and a small fire was located behind the unit. No fire extended into the house and was contained to the fireplace and chimney. All fire was extinguished, smoke was removed from the dwelling and all units went in service at 21:27.
