Members came out and braved the rainy weather to participate in a ground ladder drill conducted at St. Mary's College of Maryland. The evening started off at the station with a PowerPoint review of ladder components, review of RVFD ladder sizes and methods of placement on the fireground. After the brief review crews mounted apparatus and went to the College for the practical.
Members performed numerous practical exercises such as different ladder carry's, demonstrated several methods of ladder placement, reviewed several types of ladder raises and reviewed ladder safety.
