4-08 Box, 16:19 hrs - Engine 43 and Tanker 4 was dispatched to 14041 Cornfield Harbor Drive in Scotland, MD for the reported house fire. Engine 43 (Captain D. Gatton) arrived on location at 16:33 and reported smoke showing from the single story dwelling. Crews from Engine 43, Engine 141, Tanker 44 and Squad 4 made a quick attack on the one room fire to prevent spread to other rooms. Fire had spread thru the floor and made its way to the outside of the structure. After extensive overhaul was complete all units went in service at 18:4. It was determined the cause of the fire was from a faulty hot water heater.
