If you have questions, please contact us at info@ridgevfd.org	Company 4 visits Camp Brown   By Firefighter George Franklin July 25, 2007   It was Counselors Day at Camp Brown, in Scotland, Maryland. The Ridge Volunteer Fire Department was invited to participate in the festivities. Upon arrival a youngster was brought over to the crew for evaluation, as he was feeling the effects from the heat. Members of the crew checked him out and sent him to the camp nurse. Many of the kids were content to stay in the swimming pool. Small groups came over to check out Engine 43, where the crew gave a tour of the apparatus and its tools. Each piece of the turnout gear was explained and demonstrated. Two of the kids expressed the desire to become fire fighters in the future. The crew consisted of Vice President James Raley, Assistant Chief Bruce Raley, Senior Member Bob Woodburn, Fire Fighter Joey Raley and Auxiliary Treasurer Freda Franklin.
