Early Morning House Fire

On 7/1/08 @ 2:47 hours, Communications dispatched Bay District Volunteers to 21570 Columbia Street for a report of a House on fire. Communications receiving numerous calls indicating a working house fire which added Companies 9 and Company 5 to the assignment. Shortly after Chief 3A (Joe Gould) arrived on the scene side A of a two Story Residence with Fire through the roof establishing the Columbia Street Command, which then requested a second alarm to be added.
Company 4, Company 6, and Company 7 responded moments after being Dispatched. Engine 43 and Cheif 4 arrived completing water supply. The engine crews made quick work on the fire knocking the fire down with the master stream device along with multiple handlines in operation at the same time within a matter of minutes. At 3:31 hours Chief 3 advised that the fire was under control and he would be holding all units for overhaul operations. Engine 43 crews along with members of Company 6 assisted with overhaul. Chief 3 advised at 5:13 hours that Command was terminated and that all units could return when ready.
