Saturday, October 25, 2014 found the Fire Prevention team traveling to the St. Mary's County Fair Grounds for the SMS Cash Bash. The Fire Prevention Trailer was on display and visited by many children and adults during the day. Sparky made several appearances to the glee of those at the event. Much information was given to visitors regarding the use of, placement and maintenance of Smoke Detectors All of the attendees were shown the 911 Simulator and it was the first time for them to actually dial 911. The younger visitors were given a goody bag that contained both informative and fun Fire Prevention materials.
The crew for the day was Vice President, James Raley, Past Chief Joe Cooper and Lydia, Auxiliary members: Peggy Vallandingham, Mary (Snooky) Raley and Mary (Sparky) Wise.
