There was a birthday party at the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday, February 7, 2016. Carter Moore celebrated his 7th Birthday. Friends were invited to join him in celebrating the occasion. The kids were treated to a tour of the Company four quarters and the apparatus. A brief description of each piece was given and the the type of emergency it responded to. We covered the radio room, lounge, the Auxiliary meeting room, kitchen, laundry area, turn out gear rack and PPE drying rack. The guests enjoyed Pizza, soft drinks and handouts of fire prevention materials and of course those wonderful fire hats. SPARKY the Co. 4 mascot made a surprise visit to the kids delight.
