On Saturday, May 13th, Ridge VFD's Health & Safety Officer Phil Cooper was honored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) as First Responder of the Year for 2022. Phil was awarded at the local (VFW Post 2632 - California, MD; $250), the Southern Region ($100), and the State (Maryland) levels. He will be considered for higher level awards at the National VFW level later this year.
