Fire and Safety Hazard Product Recalls - November

The following products were recently recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC):

1) Product: Lenovo USB-C Laptop Power Banks

Hazard: The power bank’s internal screws can come loose, causing a short circuit and overheating of the lithium-ion battery, posing a fire hazard. Do not put lithium-ion batteries in the trash or battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. They can cause fires and explosions if they are damaged or crushed and are a hazard when thrown in the trash.

2) Product: ZLINE 30-inch, 36-inch and 48-inch RG gas ranges

Hazard: The oven of the gas ranges can emit dangerous levels of carbon monoxide (CO) while in use, posing a serious risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning.

3) Product: Textron Specialized Vehicles E-Z-GO ELiTE Express L6 and EliTE Express S6 PTV And Tracker OX EV Vehicles

Hazard: The vehicle’s internal motor wiring can become damaged over time. Under certain conditions, this issue can cause the vehicle to move unintentionally. This movement poses a crash hazard.

4) Product: Twin-Star International Style Selections 42-inch-wide Infrared Quartz Electric Fireplaces (Exclusively at Lowe’s)

Hazard: The electric fireplaces can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

5) Product: iMOONZZZ Children’s Nightgowns (Exclusively on Amazon.com)

Hazard: The children’s nightgowns fail to meet the flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

6) Product: DR Power Equipment Tow-Behind Field & Brush Mowers

Hazard: The exhaust pipe can break and cause damage to the unit due to excessive heat, especially in the presence of dry cuttings or spilled fuel, posing fire and burn hazards.

7) Product: Model Year 2023 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 NorthStar and XP 1000 NorthStar Crew Off-Road Vehicles

Hazard: An improperly installed center brake line can cause the rear brake circuit to remain pressurized during operation, resulting in overheated brakes and reduced braking performance, posing fire and crash hazards.

8) Product: Magnolia 26 oz. 3-Wick Glass Candles

Hazard: The recalled Magnolia 3-wick candles were manufactured with the incorrect wax, which can cause excessive flames on the wicks and cause the glass candle containers to break, posing fire and laceration hazards.

9) Product: Textron Specialized Vehicles Model Year 2022 and 2023 Arctic Cat Prowler Pro / Pro Crew and Tracker Off Road 800SX / 800SX Crew Side by Side Recreational Off Highway Vehicles (ROVs)

Hazard: The vehicle can move when on an incline and “park” is displayed on the digital dash. This can allow the vehicle to roll away, posing a crash hazard.

10) Product: Lochinvar, A.O. Smith and State Industries brand condensing residential boilers

Hazard: The boiler’s flue collector can crack if exposed to a high impact event in the burner chamber, which can allow the boiler to emit carbon monoxide, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
