Each year, the third full week in March is National Poison Prevention Week, a week dedicated to raising awareness of poison prevention and safety, as well as awareness of poison control centers and the Poison Help Hotline (1-800-222-1222).

The theme for 2024 is “When the unexpected happens, Poison Help is here for you 24/7.” Whether you have general questions or an emergency, Poison Help is available 24/7/365 at no cost to you. Call Poison Help with questions for medications, cleaning products, insect bites, and food poisoning, just to name a few!

The best prevention of a poison emergency is to have POISON HELP's contact information on hand in case of an accidental exposure.
