4-05 Box, 19:31 - Company 4 was dispatched to the area of 17385 Three Notch Road for a reported brush / woods fire. MSU-4 was nearby assisting an ambulance on an EMS call and responded. When they located the fire it had spread from a burn pile into the woods and was theatening a nearby home. Engine 41 and Engine 143 arrived and layed out 3" supply line into the driveway. An 1 3/4" attack line was placed on the home to protect from exposure. Jeep 4A and Brush 4 battled the woods fire. Engine 31 was set up on the back side of the fire at a nearby residence and line was stretched where crews worked at the head of the fire. Brush 3 was placed along side Brush 4 to extinguish the burn pile. With only minor damage to the siding of the home, the fire was brought under control within 45 minutes. The Fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Forestry Division. Units cleared at 21:52
