Sunday morning at 10:44 Co 4 was dispatched for the possible drowning at Pt. Lookout State Park in the area of the picnic area. Chief 4 responded within seconds after the initial dispatch and Rescue Engine 42 responded with 6 volunteers within minutes. Chief 4 arrived on the scene to find a 27 year old male who had been pulled from the water and had rescue breathing performed on him. 42 arrived on location along with A-498 and began patient care. Ridge volunteers assisted with loading of the patient and it was determined by the medic unit to fly the patient out as a precaution. Engine 43 setup a landing zone across the street from our station for Trooper 7. The patient along with his wife was flown to Washington Hospital Center. All units operated on scene approx. 1 hour.
