4-01 Box - 06:12, Company 4 was dispatched to 47685 Margaret Brent Way for the reported hazardous condition. Chief 4 arrived, investigated and assumed command. A mechanical malfunction from a fuel oil pump assembly caused over 200 gallons of fuel oil to leak in the basement of the commercial dwelling. Ridge members used absorbant to clean the spill and Hazmat 181 assisted with disposal of the material. Maryland Department of Environment was notified to assess the spill. Units cleared at 08:17.
