At 1724, Local Box 4-02 was dispatched for a brush fire behind an address on Premier Lane. Less than a minute after dispatch, Jeep 4 (Engineer Cooper) went on the air with two. Shortly after responding, Fireboard advised that the caller reported that their woods was on fire and it may be spreading. Chief 4 (Raley), Tanker 4 (F/F Ridgell) and Brush 4 (F/F A. Raley) responded shortly after with an additional seven personnel.
Lt 4 (Ridgell) went on the scene advising less than an acre of woods off. Units acknowledged and Jeep 4 arrived on scene, stretched their booster reel and went to work on the fire. Brush 4 arrived on scene and deployed their 1 3/4' crosslay and with Brush 4, put a knock on the fire. Chief 4 arrived on scene and determined that it was a Condition 1 fire and held Company 4 units only. Crews extinguished the fire, completed mop up and went in service. All units were back in quarters by 1806.
