| At 0706, Company 6 was dispatched to the area of Tall Timbers Marina for the reported brush fire. Shortly after, it was determined that the fire would be on McKay's Beach which would be only accessible by boat. After determining this, command (Chief 6B Scrivener) requested two more engine companies (Companies 3 & 9) and an additional boat, which bought Boat 4 to the scene at 0755.
While responding, Command requested forestry due to the fire being over an acre in size and appeared to be started from an abandoned camp site. Boat 4 (Chief 4B Mercure) responded with five personnel and arrived a short time later. The boat was utilized in conjunction with Boat 6 to run an 1 3/4" line into the woods to make headway on the fire. The crew was put into the woods and began raking and assisting with overhaul. Shortly after deploying the hand line, foam was pushed into the line and used to blanket the burned area. Shortly after this, command was terminated and units went ready. MSU 4 was in quarters by 1130. Tanker 4 also handled the fill in at Station 3 while units operated on the fire.
