Sunday was a beautiful day for a picnic. The Ridge Volunteer Fire Department visited the picnic hosted by the St. Peter Claver Church. It was held at the Cardinal Gibbons Institute Memorial park, a very nice facility. They had a great group of people in attendance. The kids were dressed for the occasion and were looking forward to our dousing them. We did not let them down. Pumper tanker #44 brought along 2,400 gallons of Ridge's finest water. Keith Raley drove the truck and George Franklin handed out fire prevention materials, stidkers and weepfuls. A fun time was had by all.
