4-06 Box, Oct 16 at 09:22 - Ridge units were dispatched to Curleys Road in Ridge for the reported single vehicle crash with entrapment. Nearby RVFD firefighters/members and Ridge VRS A497 were first on scene and confirmed a single vehicle crash, off the roadway, into a tree, on its side, with the single occupant trapped. Firefighters were able to extricate the occupant via the rear tailgate door. Chief 4B in Squad 4 arrived on scene and established command. Squad 4’s crew stabilized and secured the vehicle while Engine 141 (NDWFD Webster Field) blocked the roadway and provided traffic control. Chief 4A arrived and assumed command, holding the call to Squad 4, E141, and the single BLS ambulance. The occupant from the vehicle was evaluated by A497, but ultimately signed a refusal of care form against medical advice.. All units cleared at 11:02.
